Description
The caliber 2602 of the second Moscow watch factory was also familiar under its family name "Pobjeda" and was a russian-made LIP R-26.Technically, it resembles state-of-the-art of upper class movements of the 1930ies with its screw balance, the breguet hairspring, the long regulator arm and the visually appealing bridge construction with subsecond hand and decoration stripes.
The second Moscow watch factory (later renamed to "Slava") added two more jewels to the movement: The minute wheel got a jewel and there's also a cap jewel for the anchor wheel.
The dial side is, besides the yoke winding system and the wheels for the hour hand, completely empty.
This movement was guaranteed to keep time within 45 seconds per day; these values are still valid today: The specimen shown here dates from 1957 and easily runs within that specification.
The "Pobjeda" caliber was produced by several watch factories, e.g. ZIM with its
caliber ZIM 2602.
