Description
The french Lorsa caliber 514A is a ladies' form movement, which is described in
the literature with 5 1/4 lignes, but measures 5 3/4 lignes instead.
Technically, it is like any other form movement of the early 1970ies; it has got a
kind of Trishock shock protection system (unusual for french movements), seventeen jewels
(and on the dial side it was already prepared for additional cap jewels) and a yoke
winding mechanism
As you can clearly see on the pictures, those watches had to be constructed to be
tortured pretty hard, since in those times, a watch was already a consumer tool which was
not cared for too much anymore.
