Description
Intex is a german manufactury by Willi Friesinger, of which there's not
much information available in literature and on the Flume K3 there are only a
handful of movements which were made by Intex.
The Intex 390 was the only ladies' form movement. It consists of a single plate
containing all the gears, which made it difficult to service. Only the mainspring
barrel could be torn out by loosing the axle screw.
On the dial side of the non shock-protected movement, there's a simple rocking
bar winding mechanism, which uses a simple (and not very durable) spring as
click spring. The anchor wheel is beared in a deck jewel. This is quite
remarkable, since technically it is pretty useless, as the dial side is
most of the time up and the axle of the anchor wheel will rarely touch
the deck jewel and thus renders it ineffecive. But of course this trick
made it possible, that one could print the magical "17 Rubis" on the dial.
